Born in Derbyshire her successful Engineering career has taken her from Melbourne Derbyshire to Melbourne Australia where she lived for 24 years. On retiring she returned to the UK to live in Belper in 2018.
Always interested in photography but with a busy professional and family life, meant time was limited so didn’t take up photography until 2019 when she bought her first DSLR camera.
With good advice and encouragement, she completed an on-line editing and camera course during Covid, and has since gone on to get qualifications with the Royal Photographic Society (ARPS, LRPS) and the Guild of Photographers, (Craftsman Guild Photographer.) ANPS with the National Photographic Society and BPE1.
Always loved nature and has travelled the British Isles photographing wildlife. Her efforts have been rewarded by Awards from the Royal Photographic Society, the Guild, SINWP, NPS, BPE, and NEMPF. Her work has been published in Books, Newspapers and magazines including the Times, The Guardian, Amateur Photographer, Canon Photo plus, and many others.
